I've had the stryker in my truck for about a month now and overall it's a great radio but within the last week the volume seems to be getting lower and lower. I use an external speaker and I've tried 3 different ones so I know it's not the speakers. Even with the volume on max I can barely hear it. Just curious if anyone else has had the same problem and how'd you fix it.

Are you losing signal strength also? Is transmit affected at all? If so , check your antenna

There is a fix for the volume dropping out..Just did my stryker 955 and it seems its a common thing..

Cleaner i used was called deoxit d5..
Make made that vid and let me know about it so i watched,simple..I honestly swar my radio is LOUD(volume wise) now..
I run my radio when its on at 50% volume and zero squelch/max rf gain and it was about all i could handle..Just put the radio back in the trk and now i am at 25ish% volume..Any louder is to dang loud..

Thanks for the replies. Was able to get it fixed. Just some loose wires which seem to happen a lot with these radios from what I've heard and read.

I know this is an old thread but I have the same radio do you notice that you have to do this cleaning procedure once every couple of months or did you only have to do it once and you were good?

I seem to lose my volume every couple of months, taking apart clean it up and it's good as new but you would think that it would only require once....
