Oh yeah it's great now every couple of months though I have to open her up. Sideband works great when skip is running I've contacted as far as Eastern Canada from California. It's a whole different animal compared to my Bearcat 880 heh

 

I guess you get what you pay for these days.... just kidding. Actually that’s pretty sad for as much money as these radios cost. I don’t see any benefit to using contact cleaner on these connectors, especially if it’s a new radio. Probably just disconnect and reconnect the cable will do the same thing without the cleaner
