CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

Does CFI have automatic transmissions? Someone asked me about that.

 

Yes we do have automatics we are converting the entire fleet over, another year so there won't be any 13 speeds left

 

I worked here while it was Conway and then when it swapped over to XPO and then back to CFI. I swapped over to owner op in January of this year and got a dispatcher that wouldn’t run my truck so I pulled it from CFI.
Question: are company drivers being paid every two weeks? What else has changed for the good or bad since then? Looking at coming back.

We are switching back to weekly pay at the first of the year. As far as good news items go I think I've had about $0.03 in races that were unscheduled but due to policy changes. I've been running about 10,000 a month so no complaints it 11-5 this month... That's miles not dollars.

I can't give you any info on the contractor side I just not that close to it.

Shoot me a note before you talk to the recruiter it'll mean a bonus for me which obviously will mean a bonus for you.

How long are you out with a trainer?
Do you know what the pay is for students and new drivers?

 

I believe the training time is still 7500 miles, so approximately three weeks. There is no team driving with your trainer. That means, if you are driving, trainer is awake. That's huge! In other companies, training under team dispatch, one of you is always asleep...bad for you.

Regarding pay, it just changed this week so that's a recruiter question.
