Werner is one of the worst company. they don't treat drivers right, they lie, backstab you, favoritism, they all are a bunch of smart ##### in the offices. I wouldn't send a ####ing snake to work for this ####ty company. every body warned me before i started with werner even before i started trucking school many people told me how werner is, i took it all as just people talk, well that was a big mistake. once i got started with werner i started experiencing all that i was being told and read on the internet is true. the #### that "Werner Cares" is just lies. the only thing "Werner cares" about is themselves, money, cargo, and that is it.

    TST65 and Need4Speed Thank this.

Werner is just another starter company that treats drivers like a number and you'll find that with all starter companies.I know because Werner was my first company and stayed there 3 years.I hated it before my first year was done but I stuck it out because as a new driver I knew I wouldn't find better. So I stuck with one headache rather then start over and move on to another headache.

I don't know. You can't go anywhere and not see signs "CDL-A Drivers Needed". You need proper training and at least 6 months developing skills relating to driving, backing, and time management. But once this initial apprentice period is done (length probably depends on individual and how fast they can develop the skills) I don't see why anyone should feel obligated to lose 1, 2, or 3 years in prison with a bad company. Make yourself presentable and confident, and start walking into offices and asking to speak with whoever hires the drivers. They need qualified drivers as bad as you need a better job. But beware, change is not guaranteed to bring a better overall work environment. All companies have their pros and cons. So have more of one then the other.

Yes, 3 years is too long with a carp company. 6 months with a clean record opens up lots of opportunities, more at 12 months.

Settle down Ron. Take a deep breath. Or maybe a couple of them.

If you fly off the handle at every little thing you're not going to have any luck working for anybody.
As I see it, the only real enemy you have is yourself.

I've always said anyone with a short temper is not going to make it in truck driving without creating serious problems for themselves and others. No matter what type of driving gig they have. I'm not sure if the OP has a temper or attitude problem but given the "language" and tone of some of the posts, I imagine it would be a safe bet to assume he does. I'm not going to lecture or preach. I'll just leave it at that.
