the RTO, the one in the red, is what the first truck i drove up to speed had. took me a few times to get it right, running on shale in kansas just as it was trying to rain...

took my test with a straight 9, also dorve a few straight tens, drove a super ten once, i rather enjoyed it since the truck was empty it was up to speed very quickly...

I used to drive an old single axle GMC around the yard that had a 4 speed and a 2 speed brownie, i enjoyed it since i was the only 14 year old around that could drive it.

im trying to talk my dad out of his US gear dual range to go between the transfer case and 4 speed in my bronco, allowing it to split gears.

The one in red is in my 99 Western Star. Big difference in gearing from 7th to 8th.
