Why would you want to get into a situation where you may require a lawyer?
I just don't understand why anyone would do this to themselves....

Since when has anyone ever NOT been in a situation that could require a lawyer? You do it everytime you pull out of your driveway.

People need to stop hiding from the baddies, or perceived baddies. Businesses don't succeed without taking a risk. Homework and instinct tells you if the potential reward is worth the risk. Generalizing makes one too chicken to step outside of their safe zone.

Nothing ventured nothing gained. Those old saws have been around a long time because they are true.

Lease Purchase is like dating, it's not marriage but you can get your feet wet and get a feel for the industry as a "owner operator" depending on what company you partner with, some companies have load boards and give you a choice and some don't, but if you pick the right one you can bank $1k a week and walk away without penalty ( John Christner) and get your Maintenance Escrow within a certain time afterwards and use that as a down payment and get your own authoruty. My advice is always to NEVER make a Lease Purchase a long term commitment, keep it short and and aweet, or in other words hit it and quit it.

The only l/p program I've found that I like is Roehl. I'e been l/p here for 10 months and when I tell people how much I make, they don't believe me. I think riverside, Stevens, prime and ats have ok programs, but their truck notes are outrageous. I'm so tired of the don't lease/buy instead mantra. Leasing a truck/buying a truck shares a lot of principles with leasing a car/buying a car. People that lease cars know that they'l always have a note, but have warranties and less mechanical issues. If you want to go lease, have a recruiter email you the contract, sit down and read it. If you like what you see and it's a walk away lease, try it. You can always throw away money later on buying a used up fleet truck from a dealer.

If you have bad credit people will still Finance you a truck you just have to put 10% to 20% down. After that you have way way way more control and 90% of the time your payment is lower.when you lease purchase, the company's think and try to make you think that the $1.08 per mile is good money. Kllm brags about there program that pays the same per mile no matter what. The recruiter said a dollar to per loaded mile lol

A lot of people get into lease purchase programs and fail.
A lot of people buy trucks and fail.
A lot of people become company drivers and fail
A lot of people get into the trucking industry and fail.
