I thought cabotage meant doing sabotage to a cabbage. I do know of the concept though, I just didn't know that was what it's called.BigBob410 Thanks this.

Ok - I had to think about that for a while and it makes sense. Both drivers would have to have a valid work visa for it to be legal.
How is this enforced though? Checking of work visa at the border - how would they know if you’re completing a cross US move?

Yes mate, following it, @blairandgretchen I suppose the only legal way is for the American driver to do the point to point, (within the US)and then the Canadian to do the inter country to stay legal.
