This is what I don’t understand. Why would anyone put up with crap like this.

I choose to stay out. No one forces my hand. So I don't understand your argument?

If there was a company that paid me what I wanted I'd be an owner operator by now -- it doesn't exist. Not at my age, experience, or driving record.

 

There is no argument. I made a statement that I don’t know how people deal with crap like you said. Truck broke down for a week. Did you get a full weeks worth of pay? Being gone for months is up to the individual but some places they aren’t. They are places everywhere that will hire someone with little experience. Are they better no some aren’t but some are. I guess it takes all kinds to make the world spin. Good luck.

Most of my issues at Melton are not with the company or the pay. It's the #### truck at this point. I'd ask for a new one but I'm not super thrilled about the new automated trucks we have...

I know this sub is very anti-mega and pro-local owner operator companies. I've been on both sides of the fence, Melton is my second driving job, and they treat me far better than the sub-30 truck fleet I was on previously....it's not always greener on the other side.

 

Sounds like they are better than most thats good. Good deal.

 

I used to do the out 10 week at a time thing. No more. 5-6 days max now
