This may seem like a dumb question, but I just switched over to this Omnitracs and I cannot figure out how to put it on duty so I can get my ####ing day started.

Go to the home page, click on HOS, click on duty button, under remarks, click on pre trip

It was the labeling of the button “Change” that confused me. It would be more apparent if they labeled the button “Duty Status” instead.

I’m pretty computer savvy, in fact, even a former programmer. This thing however, looks like it was designed by schizophrenic cat hoarders.

I have to laugh with you on that. I love this post.

Maybe you can take a picture of that Omnitraks with the current time and make a meme saying I aint able to start my workday wasting hours trying to start the time clock of my work....

Can you imagine me, a temp worker wasting hours trying to clock in at the auction house? HA...

When in doubt, whip out your instruction card, you know, that card that you have to show DOT when they inspect your logs.

Call it a data link error and back it with paper logs.

The instruction card didn’t have #### on it about changing duty status. I finally found it in the help file... after giving the screen a good beating because they apparently designed the touch screen sensitivity to only accept a Mike Tyson punch instead of a smart-phone-like gentle touch.

That’s basically what I have been doing since the 18th. I couldn’t get logged in and customer service? Forget about it.

I finally brute force hacked into it last night and was able to switch over from Big Road.

One other problem was the fact it has been plugged in and operational since the 18th. Although I denied all the unidentified driving time, it did want me to confirm or deny each and every speck of driving time for the last eight days, and wouldn’t let me do anything else until I had done so.
