I did that twice in my life. It did not go well let's put it that way. If I wanted my way, I could #### well buy out the current owner and evict him with a bunch of money. he he he.

You do not seem to be considering your trainer's situation. Routing to pick you up might cost them, and the company, money and time.

Maybe I've misread your comments, or there's more to it than you said, but at this point I do not see where your trainer or the company have done wrong. Getting sick sucks, and can screw with your life no matter what job you have.

    I agree.

Not trying to be a buster, okay? This isn't your fault.
You know how we always see these posts from people asking what will happen if they quit their trucking company after the trucking company sent them to school and they signed an agreement to either drive for them for a certain amount of time OR pay a certain dollar amount? Well, most of these people quit as soon as they get to the house. You are at the house. You call and say that you are sick. They are probably thinking, "Here we go, the ol BS starts as soon as they get to the house." Like I said, it's not you, it was the last couple hundred before you. If you would have posted BEFOREHAND, when you first started feeling ill, I would have warned you not to miss that ride. But since you missed your ride, I would be sitting on a deskjockey's desk tomorrow morning telling them not to write me off. If you would have told you that your trainer was going home, I would have told you NOT to go home but go to a motel near him instead. That way, he wouldn't have left without you. And there wouldn't be any questions in anyone's mind about your intentions.

"But Six, trucking companies are a dime a dozen and they dont give a hoot about us."

Time. Delays only hurt you, not them. They gave your spot to someone who just finished orientation this Wednesday and you're looking at being delayed until some time next week. That hurts. So, I would make absolutely sure that I spoke to someone face to face. for them to know that I was serious about the job.
