I've been driving for Pride nearly a year now, and the company has been great to me. No driver facing camera in my truck...they just installed a new one recently that is coupled to a new DriverTech MDT, and the camera faces the street only.

I'm a Pride driver on this plan. The deal is this: drive at least 5-6 weeks then end up at the SLC terminal to park and fly anywhere for 5-6 days off. The company buys the ticket. They accommodate my choice in airline and usually accommodate my choice of flight. It is a nice deal for those who don't need more frequent home time. Of course if the location is within about 100 miles of a place Pride has customers, you can drive home instead. I fly about half the time, drive about half the time (I take my time off in different locations).

Sounds good for a single driver

@BlackEverythingx might like this information from another Maryland driver. @BlackEverythingx read Post # 83 on here.

Pride does not have driver-facing cameras. Maybe they did in the past, but they don't have them now.
They govern the trucks at 65. Not unusual and higher than many. Also, we can boost to 68 for passing up to 30 minutes per day. -
We (Pride) had driver facing cameras for a short time. We (drivers) complained, they listened and removed them.BigMuthaTrucka and drreid1958 Thank this.

My experience with Pride has been and is excellent.
Everything Steve Schelin (director of recruiting and retention) has ever told me has been completely accurate. I like him.
Produce detention is automatically $30 per stop regardless of wait time, plus $100 if the wait is 10 hours or more, per stop. I've never had any trouble getting the POs for this or anything else in their pay plan. Also, Pride pays immediately/daily M-F upon submission of paperwork. Every time I've completed a trip and submitted the docs, I've received a pay statement that afternoon and the $ has been in my bank the next morning.
The shop personnel have all been great to deal with.
So what if the whole family works there.
If a person can't get along with the folks at Pride, I suspect that they might have trouble getting along with most... -
Well said drreid.
Everything you say is 100% accurate.WhoCares and drreid1958 Thank this. -
i Wouldnt work ANYWHERE where i drive for 5-6 weeks...then go home for 5-6 days. If single, no kids...sure. Im sure its great money. I am dedicated,...im home on friday morning,...go out usually sat night. I set my pta for 23:45 sat night,..and if loads are all taken and its a low night for loads...oh well. I know how to play it. I still make good enough money for me,...600-900 a week.. We HAD driver facing cams,...but they shut it off. Yes,....sadly we still have forward cams. I HATE with a passion those. I have a stupid coaching awaiting me now. I always vent my true feeling though when i type in my comment. Screw those stupid ### coaching. Most of its stupid,..if i have a accident,...great i have a cam for my defense. Other than that,....stupid. No, i dont drive for pride. I about did,..i applied and they wanted me. I said no when they said i had to fo to EVERY #### state with a trainer before solo....forget that.
