Rand McNally ELD-50 - Are we the only ones having issues?

    Mark, I will post your quote from January 5th on this same thread
    "ELD-50, RM is aware of the changing logs. They are working on a solution."
    January 5th was 12 days ago, this Friday it will be 2 weeks since you originally posted "working on a solution"
    Point is RM was aware of defective product weeks ago and you just keep posting "working on solution" over and over again. I believe there won't be solution to this, so please anyone who owns this defective product take it back to where you purchased it from and get your money back.

    "Working on a solution" - means they are aware of the issue and trying to find the cause and fix the code... DOES NOT mean they have a updated version and is testing.

    Would you rather I not post any information or updates to the issue at hand? Seems this is what you want.

    Now I have mentioned that Rand has a version in test now since 4.5 days ago. So 4.5 days is not 2 weeks in my book..

    I am not explaining myself to you anymore. I will monitor the support thread and pass information there. If you have the ELD-50 please go there for updated information.

    Same scenario here. Two trucks but RM technician convinced me to purchase two of the TND 740 devices as well. Nothing has worked properly since we made the purchases in late April. Multiple phone calls, dozens of updates, and countless hours on the phone later, still no progress. We have swapped out both ELDs to no avail. Technical support is useless. They just transfer you from one person to another and then tell you that you need to do an update on your device. Wait times are ridiculous and sometimes they even hang up on you. Don't even think that they will call you back as they say they will. They promise refunds and then refuse to give them. I definitely would suggest purchasing another product from another company

    I personally am going to contact the consumer protection agency..if enough people do that ... Rm will have to remedy this situation..

    I thought you did not have time to "play" on the forum?

    I see you have not read any of my threads here or on the support thread. If you did you would notice that Rand is working on it and Rand is testing 4.6.2 and Rand is working on fixing prior logs.

    The Events log is correct. The graph is showing wrong. And it is being worked on..

    So Rand McNally is ACTIVALLY working on this...

    Still working to validate the issue is fixed. Some things we still have to do with the ones testing to make sure we cover all the bases.
