When you are in the shop I would ask them to check the ride height.seventhirty Thanks this.

If your a company driver or even if you are a OO weigh it empty at a CAT Scale bring the scale ticket to a dealer shop and show them. I run those steer axle weights and as much as 13K of course tire rating is good, and I've never had a problem at any scales in lower 48 and Canada. If that sudden change has you concerned, it's worth a dealer shop checking it out. Others here have given you good info to.

You will be ok with the steer weight. If it was on the drives they bust you at scales. Front axle they are more lenient.aussiejosh and seventhirty Thank this.

If you added tire chains for the winter there is your extra weightseventhirty Thanks this.

Maybe they lied to you on the weight of the load. More than once, they told me 45K, even on the bills and it was really more like 48! Pallets don't weigh anything, they'd say.
NavigatorWife, stwik, dunchues and 3 others Thank this. -
We laugh but there might be some truth to that. If they are using plastic pallets or the famous Canadian Pallets that are really heavy.NavigatorWife, 201 and seventhirty Thank this.

You said they changed an airbag and the truck was towed.
Check the leveling valve and ride height. Then scale the drive axles separately. As in each axle by itself. See if you are carrying all or most of the drive axles weight on the rear axle. That could be a very dangerous condition.123456, StrokerTSi, Toomanybikes and 2 others Thank this.
