I'll take these 367's to the gates of hell and back. They have the small Isx12 425hp but with 4.42 rears you'd think it was a 550 6nz.

@x1Heavy out in Wyoming on long straight washboard dirt roads I've had those 3 axle pumps ,90-100k depending on pump configuration up to 55mph and still felt safe. Truck rode better going 55 than it did 25.

The long hood large car isn't what made me a pete fan, the set back 367 with a coffin sleeper and roll bar is what did it lol

 

I see I got tagged in this thread. I haven't been on here to much lately. I have been running to and from Alaska exclusively for years. It is interesting to see what advise is given in all the different threads when Alaska comes up.

For example I know several guys that run old Gordon Cascadias to and from Alaska without lockers and 120gallon fuel tanks. The funny part is they get paid the same amount than me. Yes, my Western Star cost at least a $100,000.00 more than the used Cascadia. Obviously, the Cascadia is a throw away truck after a couple years of running up here and my truck is still worth quite a bit of money.

I am actually considering looking for somebody to take over my truck and trailer and do the Alaska haul. I have steady Northbound freight year round and also have a direct customer for year round Southbound freight. I haven't come back empty in over a year. I would consider selling my MC# that is almost 3 years old with a zero safety score and lots of clean inspections with the truck and trailer and all the spares, rims and tires. I will get you setup with my customers and the paperwork side to run a profitable business while doing your own accounting.

The reason for this offer is that I'm dealing with some health problems that are telling me that I need to stop driving. I have had two previous cervical fusions and I have managed to destroy the levels above and below the last fusions. I will need to fuse most of my neck to prevent my head from falling off one of those days.

Now some of you might be wondering if it is worth going North? By the time I will finish this round I will have done about 90,000 miles for the year and I am at $1.25 before tax after all expenses. That is based on doing two trips a month and tracking your expenses.

I guess you didn't read my post very closely. Also do you think I will share my numbers on a public forum? I have direct customers, to find those took me years of running this lane, providing excellent service and building relation ships. Once again do you think I would post this information on a public forum?

You might have heard that Sam's Club is closing all stores in Alaska. They received about ten loads on average by truck. Besides you there are a probably 20+ trucks looking to find work in running this lane.

I have mentioned before that I would be willing to sell my equipment to the right person, but that requires money and dedication to serve my customers well. At this point I have not found that person or company and I'm running steady, but suffering the consequences.
