That happens when you're suffering from a combination of senility and PTSD like I am...

Here is what is behind the curtain of a double drop A-frame load
How it looks before I untarp
Main tarp off
Ready to unstrap
Just the belly strap
Ready for unload(switched to passenger side, had more area light)
There's been a change of plans for me. Instead of this being a round trip from Spring Hill to Irving TX back to Spring Hill, now I am deadheading to Church Hill with a stop of at the corporate office in Mascot. My 90 day evaluation is due, and before it gets busy, they want to get it out of the way. End up losing 485 miles on this breakdown shorten week, but I will start out with 975 for next week. With things as slow as they are, my January set the pace to break $60k, so unless the economy tanks again, the money will only get better...honestly, I can't remember a time when I said to myself..."I will only make $60k this year"...28, Lonesome, 4mer trucker and 3 others Thank this. -
90 day evaluation is in the books, and it turns out, management is as happy with me and my performance as I am with them and theirs. Not sure which I enjoy more, having a satisfying company to work for, or the fact that I don't have anything to complain about so the naysayers have to keep biting their tongue because they can't say those imortal words "see, I told you so"...and I hope they choke on those words...

After my 90 day, went on a new trailer shuttle. We use 45' van trailers for our rolling rack loads. They had me run from Mascot to Trenton, GA for 2 trailers (sw of Chattanooga, almost to Rising Fawn) 601 miles, then off to Baton Rouge with the heaviest load I have hauled here to date...47200 lbs. The trailer looked like it was pregnant. Then off to Spring Hill. Another 1450 miles, with time over the weekend to get in a 34.
Here is my prego trailer
And this is a top view of how we secure glass
Just 4 straps on each side...mladen86, Shock Therapy and 28 Thank this. -
Do you have to climb around and secure it and tie it down
or is that done by the loaders
Shock Therapy Thanks this. -
Do you take the tarp and straps off at customer...or do they do it....looks like you've found a good place ...to drive for
Shock Therapy Thanks this. -
What was you gross weight? How heavy are your loads normally?
Shock Therapy Thanks this.
