And yeah, I was at Schneider during my divorce. I needed to be away from the general public, and there's NO denying you get that with Schneider. Lol so everything serves its purpose in the end.

 

Oh yes indeed man and I'm still far from a top dawg on the pay scale. I think the extra board top out is now .665! EVERYONE tops out in 3 years, raises every 6 months.

 

Better than ABF was, pay-wise. Not bad at all.

Finally leaving the karma of Marten Transport. When you start seeing Marten trucks pulling Swift trailers it's time to go! You guys be safe out there and take care.

 

Most megas are in bed together anyways. They cooperate together to keep the wages low. They have the man power to push loads cheaply and that's why the O/O hate them. Let's not forget they screw drivers lol

 

I agree with your statements. I spent over 20 yrs at Marten and that's when the old man was around. Roger Marten took care of his drivers. His son on the other hand to this point he cares nothing more then his paycheck and his bike collection up on the hill in Mondovi. Most of the fleet managers came from Knight and his VP as well. Alison G which runs to a certain point DeSoto terminal is sad in how things have gotten. Morale at corporate is a joke and pins and needles for everyone. The old Blue bird is ling gone.

 

His bike collection has since included Ferraris,Porsches and a boatload of hunting trophies now!lol Things have been changing over the past year and not for the better. Seems to be the happening trend at a lot of companies nowadays.

 

Not Estes and ODFL. Top tiers in my city. ODFL is STILL in overdrive and that's good for us. They get a raise we get one lol.
