I grabbed this photo with my phone north of the J off I-5 NB near Patterson, CA. The tractor was in bad shape from what I could tell, and also upside down. I did a cursory web search for more details but found nothing. It had happened maybe 5 minutes before I passed by. The cop just rolled up. No winds that morning.

    Strange - a container hauler.
    Usually they’re top notch drivers.
Must have been a 4 wheeler involved.

    Hope the driver is OK.

Too tired and fell asleep. That’s a long drive from LA I Always use a radar detector and take my chances. I refuse to drive 55-60mph for 300 miles. He was almost at Westley too

The rumble strips on i5 are like creators. They shake the truck up really good. You’d have to be in deep sleep before you get to thwork curb/dirt

Friday morning about 05:00, between Little Rock and Gurdon, AR, a dry box layed it over on the right hand shoulder. And down the road, a flatbed went into one of the deep ravines of the median of I-30. It was cool weather, but perfect driving conditions. Both accidents looked like the drivers fell asleep.

I think ELD's are rearranging sleep patterns for some drivers in a negative way.

Maybe drivers in the past were fudging their paper logs not for monetary gains. But were fudging their logs to get some decent sleep.

I won't argue with that statement. For drivers who are in operations where 3,000+ miles week are expected, eLogs has turned their little world upside down ... if they cheated the HOS regularly to conform to their preferred sleep schedule. It will take many several months (if they can at all) to train their body to sleep when/where the stupid HOS rules opportunity allows
