    One thing for sure you'll find out very quickly when you get to Canadian Border, does the card say what its for exactly is should say what its good for, if not why not call CBP as ask them.

    One of our Canadian drivers said the FAST card will get you across the border in lieu of a passport...not sure what the difference in cost is, but I opted for the card. If you're getting one, make sure the person taking your picture takes one where your the right size in the pic...mine was just a liitle too small, and I have to send in a new one.
