I’m not even going for an interview. I talked to them again today. 20.73 to start for p&d and linehual is gone all week for .55. They won’t give a straight answer on an approximate number of hours a week and it’s to far of a drive for me to take a chance on for maybe an extra $80 a week.
thank you TR members!! Saia is great!

Do you have the number and contact name for Grayslake IL? Do they get pretty good seats in their tractors? Silly question I know but they really make a big difference in how you feel at the end of the day. How about scales at the terminals?
-
Don't blame ya there eldiablo. Different terminals do different things, all of our linehaul bid routes are home every day.
Crackerboy, the seats are good in most trucks air ride up and down 3 way lumbar air bags, side of the chair back air bags and sides of the seat. So yeah you can have your chair how ever you want. As far as scales I have only seen a scale at Cincinnati which is our break bulk but most of the terminals have fuel pumps.

Thanks very much! I appreciate ya responding it helps a lot in trying to make my decision. I just got my app in a couple of days ago. I’ve got 19 years experience in LTL and a clean record with all of the endorsements. I hope I could get the interview, road test and physical all in the same day if they are interested. I’m only home on Mon. and Tues. Only thing I’m worried about is having to wait 3 months on health insurance. I guess that’s the probation period right?
-
There is no " probation period " that I have ever heard of but yeah 90 days on the insurance sucks I had to fork out some big money on meds... With that experience i wouldn't be surprised if they start you at top pay. If it wasn't for me giving a 2 week notice I would have been able to start as soon as the drug test results came back. Good luck man hope you get the job and enjoy it
crackerboy Thanks this. -
Wow this is a stupid rules MAX factor, so if something happens down the road you are not allowed to use CB radio to warn others....Eldiablo Thanks this.
