    I just started last week. We do a lot of Midwest and west coast. Some Northeast, east, and south. I ran from MN to CA last week, and am headed back to the Midwest now.

    Yes eld... Qualcomm.

    Sounds good, thank you. Honest question for you then I'll leave you be.

    If you had to choose between WEL (being home every other week) and their lease purchase vs. GPT, which wpuld you choose. Decent reviews on both, but sounds like GPT pays better.

    I don't know enough about WEL or their l/p. I remember checking them out, and determining they weren't what I wanted.

    All 48 states, trip pak box, and yes ELDs...

    Personally I don’t know what the sudden hang up is with E logs is. It’s going to be mandatory nationwide soon, and there was talk of the whole industry going to then ever since I started driving just over 20 years ago, so there’s no reason for everyone to be so shocked about the mandate coming to pass. If the entire industry had reformed itself, and required shippers & receivers to straighten up instead of allowing their abuse of drivers’ time and pay rates that would allow companies to pay their drivers well, under safer and more realistic schedules the switch to ELDs wouldn’t be such an issue. Instead the whole trucking industry kept gaming the system and allowed customers to abuse drivers all they want, and that’s what’s we are faced with. I switched to e logs several years ago and I don’t ever plan on going back to the paper logs.

    Into my 3rd month, and am very happy here. I have been taken care of, for the most part. I make sure I treat dispatch with respect, and I have been likewise.

    I think they like that I drive for reset instead of recaps, but I need to teach them not to raid the cookie jar of its crumbs, and instead let me get a reset. I hate driving when all I have 2-6 hours in the next couple of days.

    I need to figure out mileage for my last month. For my first 2, I was getting an avg of 2700-2800 per week. I need to talk to them about pushing that up a bit. I hear Mike (the pres) likes having conversations with drivers who want more. As I learn more of how to maximize my time, I'll have some talks with him.

    My plan is to start lease purchasing soon. However, if that falls thru, I would still say this is a really good place for company drivers. These inward facing cameras are still a deal breaker for me. I only tolerate it because they take them out of lease trucks.

    does your volvo have the Bed/Table option? Might go with them instead of Holland if they do. Hope they offer better pay too. :p

    Yes, it has the dinette. I don't use it much, but it is a nice setup.
