The way they used to do it, you went to Crowder with a learner's permit from your home state. I'm assuming that's what you mean by the written test.

Beyond that all of your CDL testing is done at Crowder. What I did was took the paperwork to the local DMV and got a Missouri license. We use the address of the dormitories at Crowder as my address.

I went out with my finisher... Ran some solo miles... And when I went back home to Florida I traded in my Missouri license for a Florida license. Also got all my endorsements the same day except tanker I didn't get that so much later.

I certainly recommend verifying all of this to be sure it's still current but that's the way it used to be done.

Are the dorms at Crowder for CFI employees? I.e. could we live there during downtime.

Dorms are for CDL students, regardless of company affiliation.

That's a recruiter question. It all changed recently so even somebody that hired on 6 months ago may not give you the right answer

Please keep us up to date on you experiences as you go.
If you start by, say, early April, you will have quit by about mid October, if not sooner, due mainly to the extremely low, low pay.
Now, go forth and humour all my "adversaries" by proving me wrong....

Please don’t tell me low pay lmao I know I won’t make good money at first especially during training. But i would like to assume I shouldn’t ever have to be concerned with going below 500/week after taxes.
