Duh - just read the title, Series 60.
If it’s DDEC III - then (looking at it) the left hand side will have 2 smaller connectors that feed injectors, and one going to sensors, I think.
On the right hand side, that’s the one that you want to check.
Cam and crank sensors are a possibility, filters and fuel check first.
Any luck so far?

its a ddec 4 bk reman. The trucks dash and everything is working like headlights, wipers. Truck cranks but does not start. All the power to the dash comes except for the red and yellow check engine light. No power is coming to the computer hookup and sattelite. Truck does not start. It shut down while it was just idling.
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Ok - mines a GK series.
No signal for red and yellow check engine points me to ECM.
Have you had a good look at right side connectors to harness from ECM?
Funny for an ECM to fry on the spot.Peterbiltt Thanks this. -
are you sure the power is getting TO the ECM? good connections at battery, and good grounds are useless if a wire is cut. i had one if the terminals break inside the connector on my 60 series. i also has a fuse holder that was corroded inside. looked fine but no power making it thru.
Peterbiltt and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
Not sure if it’s just this year, but condensation problems have been a real bear lately.

Will look again and check tomorrow, going to have ECM swapped and see.
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Sounds like ECM is definitely not powering up.
Did you check the ECM power wire and fuse holder in the battery box?cootr68 and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
That’s a good idea if you have a loaner. Yell if you need your one repaired - DCS in PA just replaced memory and capacitors in mine and tuned for less than $1200 - way cheaper than ‘reman’ .

Get a buddy to crank it while you wiggle the wiring harness just before the ecm plugs. If it tries to start our even coughs like it got a shot of fuel then your problem is in those plugs. I have had the wires come loose from the plugs before.
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
pull the power connector from the ecm and check the power feeds against the ground feeds. then,if you have the inline fuse holders, which you should, look them over real carefully. put new fuses in,and if in doubt on the condition of the holders, replace them entirely.
2 winters ago mine (ddec 2) started up,began running on about 3 cylinders with the check light on. a quick check with the multi meter showed power at both fuse holders.
a closer check showed low power at one fuse holder that looked fine. but it was only putting about 7-8 volts thru.
the problem you are having is usually power supply or grounds,. which is good because it's cheap to fix!blairandgretchen Thanks this.
