Picked up my honda This morning from the dealer.. They had it for 2 Weeks they said they ran it under a load for 16 hours not problems. She has a small pulsing to her still. I took off all my extended run stuff as i thought maybe thats the problem.. It doesn't seem like it helped at all it has a small pulsing to it..

I had prepass prior to the drivewize and both would activate. I could not deleat the drivewize but I talked with a customer service representative and they loaded an app so when their system reported a prepass site the drivewize shows " follow prepass transponder" I don't like having ,and don't use the scale and mapping on my logging device.

I needed rest so didn't move any load yesterday, the "Needs load moved" crew was blowing me up yesterday and today and now for me at least what they wanna know when I tell them I'm not interested in the load "Can I ask you why?" your not interested. They've never asked this before. LOL I tell them the truth, the rate is terrible. To me that's pretty much a no brainer, they obviously have to know that.

I wonder how many guys actually tell them the truth or do some put on a front and tell them something else?

you do realize you have have your coordinator set it to say no calls? you can request that when you definitely dont want any calls. or have them set your preferences where you would only get calls about too good to turn down loads.

i tell them the truth, what will it help to do otherwise, i am sure someone has requested they ask . keep in mind most of those making these calls are fairly new, they may have been told to ask so they get a feel for reasons why guys turns down loads.

some days will be more of those calls than others, i guess i am immune to giving much thought since i have turned down a load or two.

i will often sometimes ask them every question known to man about those loads and then turn them all down.

just doing my part to help train the floaters, i worry more when no one is calling,

any new owner operator that leases to Mercer on and after that date will have an option. They can either get their Omnitracs subscription through Mercer or directly through Omnitracs.

    Mercer
    Hardware: $525
    Setup fee - $0
    Contract - none
    Mercer handles the setup
    Monthly service: $45
    Includes; Drivewyze, mapping, Canadian data

    Direct Subscription
Hardware - $799 and must be purchased through retailer
    Setup - $238
Contract - 1 yr (auto renews after 10 months)
O/O must handle setup (2-3 day min)
    Monthly service - $36.95
    + Drivewyze - $15.75
    + Mapping - $9.15
    + Canadian data - $1

This will not effect the current JJ Keller users. They will be considered "grandfathered" in.

many of us have the mcp50, depends on when you got it, the ivg is the newer one, but if ya get your hands on a mcp50 you can use it,

the drivewyyz isnt actually disabled , its more like it defers to prepass, it will ding and show on screen to follow transponder or follow roadsigns.
seperately service, mapping, drivewyze and data cost about 62.00, a while back mercer locked in 45 bucks for two years as a bundle with all those included.

the only thing activated is the logging and messaging.

they dont gather the info of hard braking, over idle, speed and all that jazz. it will log and do ifta miles,

i get messages with my load info whenever i am dispatched on another load, other than that the messaging is used very seldom.

the main source of messaging is the mercer app on phone, to send in bills, see the overall info on the load , and you can even get load advances on the app after your load info is received etc. and phone is mainly used to access the loadboard.

i dont know if i would describe any of it as a nanny service

Yup, I tell my coordinator to 0 me out so I don't match to anything. Never get calls when I do that.

pete, how sealed up is that thing? on the quiet honda type generators from harbor freight , 659 dollars for 3000 watt and amazingly quiet, they once had a problem with surging when not enough air could get inside the case, you could remove the oil fill door to allow air in and it corrected the problem, the fix was to vent the oil fill door.

just a thought, i happened to see that after a search on those generators
