Home on wheels done me good. The kit was 168.00 or so for a new burner cone, igniter, two gaskets, and intake hose. Thanks Richp89 . That's one thing I can say about the people here at Mercer and this thread, just ask and someone will help you out.

Input folks. Currently got 11r22s and seriously considering going to low pro 22. Posted this in another thread but posting here for additional input.
Using Bridgestone m710 tires for this. I've ran them before on the last truck and like them. Imo the best drive tire for what we do. Great rolling resistance(even better than the Michelin energy drive) and long lasting rubber.
Lo pro22.5 has a tire diameter of 40.6 inches for a tire revolutions per mile of 512. 11r22.5s have a diameter of 41.8 inches and 497 revs. Only 15 revs difference. Those numbers are straight off Bridgestone website.
Doing the math i come up with 1466 engine rpm with 11R vs 1510 going to 295/75r22.5 at 65 mph. Side effect of giving up .6 inches of ground clearance.
I'm running a 500 hp@2100 n14 select plus. Can any one think of a legitimate reason not to make this switch? I should gain some fuel economy due to the lower rolling resistance of low pro, plus better handling and most importantly ease of locating tires if i have to replace one out on the road. Oh plus i would be able to rotate steers back to my trailer if i so chose to finish running them out. I can't think of a single negative. As far as i know 1510 is still a good spot to run this cummins.

My thoughts are ......You know way more about this topic then I ever will know as we have discussed in the past. I look forward to seeing what other will say about it. Is there an issue or concerns with locating 24.5 tires on the road for repairs?horsecrazychic22 Thanks this.

11r24.5 or low pro?
Edit: let me clarify what i meant by hard to find. I wss talking specifically about low rolling resistant tires.Highway Sailor Thanks this. -
I would do it. Even if you have to show down a couple mph to keep the rpms in a good spot. You'll just benefit even more. LolLast edited: Mar 25, 2018

Radiator Specialties (the same people that make stop leak) has the best bungees I have ever seen , ###### pricey but will out perform and last anything I've ever seen.horsecrazychic22 Thanks this.

Where did you find them? I looked on their website, but didn't see those. I am looking at getting some new bungees, and remembered some I saw at the truck show last year I tried looking up, but couldn't find them. I'm definitely willing to drop a few extra dollars if I can find a good quality bungee that will last.horsecrazychic22 Thanks this.
