They way i read it is if you stop for a 3 hour nap to bypass rush hour it doesn't eat 3 hours out of your day. Most drivers I know would call that trip planning, you know the answer we get every time we say we don't like elds. That will turn into "Driver go take your nap and 3 hours from now we will unload you."
And the old school will shrug their shoulder and say "that is trucking".

Well the job I had before I started trucking a couple times each spring I'd end up on the clock for 36 hours straight.

Didn't pay real great it's a good job for somebody who's just out of high school and is interested in maybe doing trucking. It was hauling flowers for a local greenhouse operation with a pickup and 44foot car trailer
