So how long before the driver shows up here looking for his next gig?

"My company fired me for doing what my dispatcher told me too, and I might have accidently scraped a bridge....can I get a job, please?"

About three years ago, a fuel hauler rolled over on a bridge near Harrisburg,PA. Trailer got tore open, truck caught fire. Bridge got burned as the unharmed driver stood there drinking his coffee. That was a $13 million mistake if I remember correctly.

Unless he has the funds to pay the fines, or put his house up as collateral, he's done. And of course, the insurance company is going to try to bail. If they are allowed to bail, he and his company will have to pay for the load, the bridge repairs and everything else. Maybe, he will ask in Mexico, but stateside, I'd say he's done.

That bridge in Washington State that got hit by that Mullens truck (pole car was slacking) was $52 mil. And they had permits!

    Ooof.

    That ain’t good.

Wonder if they’ll start tightening up on permit issues for ALL OS/OD going forward.

If so, then I hope they throw the book(s) at him.

stwik, cke, spyder7723 and 1 other person Thank this.
