That is always a priceless moment. Where else can you work where you can take your most loyal companion with you. Work as hard as you desire or just take it easy and enjoy. Grab the fishing pole and take the dog with you. Just tell dispatch to reschedule the delivery, cause I am broke down at Toledo bend. Gota go I feel another bite.
Do you ever see the dog sitting in the driver seat?

We have a chihuahua, (think I spelled that correctly), that travels with the wife and I.
One day several years ago while stuck in traffic on I-80 in Chicagoland, the dog was sitting on Wifey's lap while she was driving. She was leaned back while we weren't moving and dog had both front paws on steering wheel. The double takes we got were hilarious! When people slowly drove past us, It appeared as if a 4 lb. dog was driving our 70000 lb. plus truck and trailer.
We still laugh about that one,
This dog has also mastered honking the city horn and routinely honks at other drivers while at the fuel island.Grubby, Lab work and Elroythekid Thank this. -

I like walking past them in the truck stop - sitting up on the seat waiting for Daddy.
I’ll play the ‘look at you’ game with them until they get too unruly . . .stwik, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Grubby and 4 others Thank this. -

I was at the TA in Aurora Oregon a few months ago and looked over at a truck with two yellow labs sitting in the front seat waiting for the owner. A few minutes later two pretty blonde women walked by and got into the truck. So these two women team drive AND have two large dogs in the truck with them. It must be crazy crowded in there. As they left I noticed the logo for their company was a lab lifting his leg and peeing on something. Company name was something like Bad Dog Trucking or something along those lines. Cracked me up.

Yep, mine went to the drivers seat as soon as I got out.
However, a vast majority of the time, whether at home or on the road, she is just looking for the next place to nap.
Too note. This girl was a 8 month old pound rescue & her ears had already been cropped. Had thought I could find her a great home that maybe the pound could not. Turns out, 8 yrs later, home is here. She loves to go for truck rides tho. Probably more road worthy than I am.
Also had taken the passenger seat out & put a dog pillow down there. Worked for a great area for water/food bowl & to wipe her feet off on a couple of towels after a walk.Attached Files:
