Its OK for outward but not in the cab.

Awesome! You’ll like it here(or at least I hope haha). I’ll probably be up at the yard Tuesday and Wednesday.

I’ve ALWAYS been in a kw, so it was different. But I like them. The 2015 & 2016 are smaller on the inside than the 18s. But I’m 6’4” and do just fine. I’m also not the type of person that needs a million things in the truck with me. I have a 15. They’re starting to get some 2019 760s in that are sweet. I think guys in older trucks are getting switched to those. If so that’s good for me cause I have one of the oldest trucks ha.

Looking forward to my new job at Denney. I fly out Sunday for Denver and get in the afternoon.
Hope to be working there awhile, I'm looking for a carrier who pays well and has good equipment.
So will give Denney a shot.

I found that you need to give any company 90 days to see what their like.
Just give it some time, good loads bad loads you know iv had my share.
I believe Its very important to evaluate, if your a good fit for the company your working at.

Two things I like to come out of orientation knowing are what do they expect of me as a driver
for them, and how do they operate communicate, elogs, fuel ect.
This will save alot of headaches down the road.

Anyways time to pack, I'll report back next week to see how things are going.

    rpad139 Thanks this.

Best of luck to ya bud!
To me and the few people in my orientation it seems like a TON of info was being given, almost overwhelming. But once you get going it all falls in place.

What time are appointments setup for? I know its reefer so they are early am appointments or maybe not? Tell me more.

Do they give you plenty of time to get there and take breaks if needed?

I used to pull reefer for awhile with my company. I remember always having to wake up at 3am to get to my 6am appointment. And messed up sleep schedules. Had to pull over many times to take a quick 30 minute sleep break. Does denney frown if they see you pulling over too much.?

Every customer is different. But you’ll get enough time to get there. If you’ve been on day shift for a bit and they have a load where you have to overnight it, it usually won’t be ready until the next night so you have time to change your sleep schedule. Melatonin has became my best friend. As long as you’re on time you’re good.

Well guys I'm working at Denney, and its been a long week. I got a 2015 truck and its got about 450000 miles on it but very well taken care of.

Heres the good A plane ticket if you dont live in Denver, Hotel room is all yours and a nice breakfast in the morning. Orientation starts at 9 and over by 4.
Some things I like. I don't have to turn in paperwork till I get back to Denver no scanning nothing.
Open fuel card at pilot and J no fuel here fuel there. $150 a week advance You can get more if your going on a longer run and need more cash. They got some long runs not coast to coast but you can go for west coast or east coast from Denver which I like. Denney wants you to run at least 11000 miles a month so you should make some good money. You can bring your dog up to 60lbs.

Some of the bad its 4 long days, but you are payed for your time. I think you need to be a self starter at Denney to succeed here. The shop does an inspection after every trip once you get back to Denver. This can slow you down from getting out of Denver with your next load, but should also keep you from breaking down on the road. They also service each trl.

Their not going to hold your hand and check up on you, they expect you to do your job, so if your not ready to work you may need to look some place else.
Should have a load out tomorrow heading by my house. will update later on.
I did't get to meet BigTex yet, but I'm sure I will run into him later.

Yea orientation gets old by the last day.

They try to get truck in every time you’re there. If you’re up to date on fluids, they simply do their own version of a pti and plug it in to computer. If you’re taking your 10 during the day to run overnight, tell them so they don’t bang on your door. You can turn it down too. Like last night the night guy knocked on my door to pull it in literally as I was crawling in bed, he said I can turn it down if I was up to date on everything.

I picked up in Vegas Monday afternoon after a well needed four days off. Ran to Cheyenne to deliver Wednesday am then went to the yard. Grabbed a 2 stop load this morning with the final in Omaha. Currently eating fajitas at our Omaha yard :) loading for Stockton, Ca tomorrow.

I seen y’all getting the tour around the departments yesterday, and what looked like truck assignments. I ran to Walmart and y’all were gone before I got back.

I spoke with accounting yesterday about the pay raise, since I noticed mine didn’t take effect when it should have. I guess the higher ups changed things up slightly. They used to track the miles from the 15th-15th, and are switching it from beginning to end of month. She said it should kick in(for me) probably next week. I don’t think it’ll effect your orientation group though.
