I have a 2016 KW T680 that came with on guard system what is giving me a lot of trouble, this junk is off guaranty and every time that I take it to the KW dealer is a money pit, problem is that get the engine light on every so often and they need to re-adjust the radar of the on guard system, they willing to disable on guard but they told me they have to disable ABS and TC as well what I don't willing to do.

Is anyone know if this is true that On guard is tie to ABS and TC?

    any suggestion will be appreciate.....

Is it the one with the little rectangle box on the dash?

Partially true. Radar is tied to ABC and TC but GOOD mechanic can reprogram computer to disable

What happens if you just smash the sensor with a hammer?

You lose cruise control and have to hear the annoying tone from the system telling you the antenna is blocked.

Unplug the system unit. It is a rectangular box somewhere inside the dash or above the windshield.

You instantly become a less safe driver and your fuel mileage drops.

The dealer should have told you that you can disable it through their software because you are the owner, I would have that done.

This^ I wouldn’t buy one with that junk on it but since you did, a dealer should be able to reprogram it.. better get it done sooner rather than later, eventually our gooberment will pass it as mandatory on vehicles manufactured after XX date.. it’s coming.
