I’m considering getting smart truck route on my phone. Is this a good truck navigation or are there better apps to get?.

Looks expensive for what it offers.

I use copilot truck as a backup to the Qualcomm. It is $10 a month with active traffic. It has its downfalls but works well enough. The trip planning and customizable profiles make it worth it for me. Just my two bits.

So what does it offer that you say it’s expensive?.

I also use it. Bought a full one time $100 fee version few years ago. It does not have bells and whistles what standalone units have, but gets nice truck friendly routes and recalculates instantly when you miss a turn for example. It does not internet connection also.
This app alone is not enough though, combine it with Google maps and trucker path and you have a perfect all you need set up

They supposedly are working on an update to the app. Didn’t say when but i asked on their Twitter and said developers are working on copilot truck update.

I also use Copilot. It works great. I put it on a 10" samsung tablet (I think it was $120 at Walmart). Works perfect offline, never loses gps signal like the Qualcomm,

Just keep in mind that it is only a nice tool. I had had it try to give me some illegal routes such as not taking mandatory beltways. A few times it tried to take me on a random scenic tour, presumably because it thought the interstate was closed for some reason when it wasn’t.

I had that happen once, when using live traffic. I always check the route looking for it making weird routing like that.

I've been using this app on my phone and I really like it. Customer service people for smart truck route are awesome, if there's any problems or questions, they answer emails promptly and even on a Sunday.

I tried the one month for $14.95 and been happy I'm going to purchase the year subscription for $60
