Exactly. Some guys refuse to do it, I like the physicality of it though. Another $55 today to pull one pallet off bring my self lump total to $289. Done for the day and got one stop in Miami tomorrow I should self lump then last in Daytona that they will lump. Then I’ll find out what the next adventure is.

Ya sounds like a real nice run I like getting out and lifting and unloading myself and what better way to make a little more as well. I can’t believe people are so lazy that they would not want to do it as much as possible

Well been awhile. Just checking in I ran down to Texas and back to LA sense I last checked in.
My truck is running good and should be back in Denver tonight hope to grab a east coast money load.
Only a few hiccups so far but things are pretty good at Denney.
Hope everybody has a good week and keep on Trucking.

It seems like everyone sits in Denver at least a day after getting back, I think it has to do with wanting to getting every truck into the shop for their “pretrip” I think the guys that pretty much only run LA are able to drop/hook quicker.

Florida run was fantastic, wish it would’ve went quicker but all in all great. Made about $300 self lumping, $340 in stops then $1116 in mileage. Picked up Thursday outside Tampa headed to Denver(1900mi). So that pay period grossed about $2700.

Got to Denver Sunday. Was supposed to run an empty up to Ft Morgon to drop/hook for LA. turns out that load cancelled but they didn’t tell our office. Got paid $75 for the two hours it took to go there and get back(hour each way). Another LA load was ready that afternoon. Got home yesterday and I’ll continue to la tonight. I’ll be dropping that trailer in Fontana tonight, loading Fontana tomorrow to Vegas. Deliver Vegas Friday am then be off again until Tuesday. Low pay this week, but I’ve been gone a month again. Hopefully I can get back to me regular home every 2 week schedule.

Yea I never really intended being out a month, but I have the last two months. Both months it’s just lined up that I’d make a killing taking an extra run vs going home and we’ve had some bills to catch up on. I should be getting back to my regular 2-3 week schedule.

I dropped a loaded trailer here in Fontana last night, should be loading some point today with a Vegas load to deliver tomorrow, then take a few days off and load for Denver Tuesday. I think from there I may just run back to la. It’ll salvage that pay week, get me home two weekends in a row, and hopefully get me back on schedule.

No we don’t. They aren’t real strict on idling. Obviously try to not idle 24/7. If it’s nice enough out I prefer having the windows open. It usually has no issue running tv and lights while off, if I use my microwave I’ll turn the truck on. With it getting hotter I’ve idled A LOT more.
