And from a driver that was with them for over 15 years, the job is "stressful and the work is inconsistent. " Although the average pay is half is what ours is, he said he made 78k in his best year. You can still do that year 1 here. So how is their pay better? Especially having to deal with job related stress week after week.
To keep moral up..

Not the ones I knew. Started at $14 and had more rules back in the 90s than we do now.
Still was a good place to work if you didn't mind slipping every day, and maybe being sent into the warehouse to load trucks. And you had to unload at the stores unless that changed.
But yeah for Florida it was not a bad job. Caveat....I only ever knew Florida drivers. -
Well to be fair we get those days as well. One nice thing about being short handed, I haven't seen wait time all year.truckdriver31 and MilkyJay Thank this.

I dont get days where I'm worried about having work or not. I also don't get stressed much from the people i directly work with much either. Most of the little stress i do get is from people driving on the roads. But that's manageable.06driver Thanks this.

There's no way he cleared $165k pulling for jb...he might have grossed that but not net
-
Funny thing is now a new driver would make more working for them instead of this scum hole company.
-
Whatever you say kid. If believing that helps you move through life more swiftly or sleep better at night, by all means.

Maybe he did that covering freight for us. I saw a l/o pulling out of sutherland last month. Of course that guy was missing half his front bumper too.

Go to 7055. Half their trucks are missing a piece of plastic or have something bent.MilkyJay, drvrtech77 and Coover Thank this.

Ya it was gross, didn't want to get into a tissy with him in break room. Would of had to drive 450k+ miles to clear that on .95cpm .
Then there's that tawuck payment, fuel, insurance, tags, maintenance, oh wait don't gots no money fo maintenance .
Anyways 165k always sounds better than saying "after expenses I took home, wait I don't have a home atleast that I remember cuz i haven seen it in months, crap, I just realized I made less than most company drivers."
