    As everyone knows, Wal-Mart has experienced many changes. This is not new by any means. Everyone knows places such as this one change everyday. As we look forward to bigger and better things, if you are here for the long run, tell us what its like to drive a walmart truck. Give everyone feedback on the requirements to be able to drive for walmart. It is a privilege to be apart of something such as the private fleet. If anyone just joined recently, let us know how you are treated and what your day to day is like. Let's keep it real and respectful. And for anyone who doesn't understand what that might entail, remember this:

    Does the current climate mean that a less-experienced driver has a better chance of hiring on? Not sure I want to, but I'm fed up with where I am.

    I'd be interested to read what their threshold is these days. Have been involved with other parts of the transportation world and things always change, sometimes a gap in the fence is a good thing for certain people.

    30 months in the last three years.
    No at fault accidents, no moving violations in the last 5 years.
    Good work history
    Good credit history

    If you start you will be extra board. Might be one truck all week. Might be three trucks. Management tries to keep switches to a minimum. Just makes more work for them moving you.

    Pay at $.38. However you are paid hub miles. $9 an activity, so every stop is $18. Weekend incentive (you will be working weekends) is $.06 for every mile run. $42 a night layover for staying in truck. Downtime is $14 an hour. Detention after 45 minutes. ANy scheduled training will be paid at 1/!0th ADP per hour.

    You will be home as scheduled. 2 days off a week unless we are busy then you will work 5.5 days and be home.

    You have to live within 250 miles of domicile DC.

    You will need to meet those requirements before you are even looked at. Regardless of the pay difference starting out, the one thing that won't change here compared to other places is you will not work for free. Every mile, every minute, you will be compensated for.

    I don't know how they do it while hiring but doesn't it say 30 months experience and 36 months accident free? So isn't that a minimum of 36 months experience?

    Except for wait time at your home domicile. Right now we never have wait time. But if we ever do again that is the only place you sit for free. :(

    Not many dcs will have you sitting for periods of time for free without some kind of pay. I average 4 hours a night waiting but that's normal here. I'm also paid to sit and be ready.

    I have finish all my testing and drug screen , just waiting for the phone call for orientation date , can’t wait to start , plus the pay scale has went back to the old days , yesss‼️
