in reality not very many trucks avg 5k a week,
    only a handful excluding teams.

4k is much closer figure overall, thats a much close median revenue level, that not sayin you cant, its saying not many are

Are you nuts? Anyone not averaging 5k a week this year is a freaking moron. 4k might have been acceptable in 2015s crap economy but in today's market anything under 6k is an abysmal failure of a week.

do you think i made up those numbers??

do you think i just pulled them out of thin air?

i wasnt basing the 4k number off of march or april. i quoted those numbers. the 4k number based off end of last year stats, i will ask and get this years up to date, but the mileage rates are this years.

i mentioned to 4k to 5k stat for one reason, for a long while here many have said in previous years they do 5k a week , and up. the numbers simply show otherwise.
this years weekly or monthly is no doubt up , nut the median amount isnt as high as some might think, the first first 5 months of the year have been revenue records.

some of course do that, but not many as you think, especially week end and week out.
it also depends on how folks figure there weeks.

some arent consistent in how they do it, many after being here a while, carve themselves out a niche where they simply are doing well but not running the wheels off.
just like the mileage rates i posted, most folks would think the conestoga rates would be out of site, as would steps, but the lowly flatbed beats em all .

we got some who dont run to nough to meet there bonuses for tag .

yes you can get closer a consistent 5k weeks, you can have absolutely killer weeks at times , but over the long stretch the greatest group of folks seem to be concentrated in a tighter group, like i said last year the greatest group was in the middle 4 k with a low end of 3200 to a top of 4300 with more below the 4 k mark.

it just how the numbers fall in line

just like the numbers of trucks that leave and the number that lease on are amazingly consistent.

anyone can take there truck number and figure within 2 to 3 months when someone leased on.

but to answer your question, no i am not nuts, i simply asked and got the numbers from louisville, just as i did 6 years ago about the numbers of trucks, and the truck number that out for at least the last twelve years.

you seem to base your figure on what you yourself do, i am giving more fleetwide numbers.

i just answered a question with the numbers i have on hand, and as usual , you take exception to what i post

i just know where the greatest concentration of trucks are at a certain level. even if its up the numbers will be in line as it has been,

so youre saying anyone who doesnt end up 6 k a week is a failure this year? how many weeks will they run? at taking off a week a month , 12 weeks, they should 240 k for the year.

its also a bit different for guys coming on that dont know the lanes and in and outs to have a comparable average to someone whos been here a bit.
i would think we also have some who have cut back on miles with higher rates , who may end up at same revenue level but at lower miles for the year.

i have folks contact me who thought they were doing poorly because of what other drivers had told them they were doing weekly,

they were really down on themselves, and when i checked the numbers they were actually in the top 20 percent of drivers at that point.

in truckstop conversations and general talking, rates per mile and money seem to be always stated on the high side , for discussion purposes.

i am just going by the numbers i got, thats all.

Yes anyone under 20k a month, if they are wanting to work, is failing miserably. Unless off course they have only been here a couple months and still in the learning stages. Do i hit 20k every month? No but if i wanted to i would. I'd rather do 6 in a 7 day period and spend the next 10 days playing with the kids. I want my kids to know me more than "dads the guy that sends us money".

how many folks in the fleet do you think do 20k a month average over the year?

have you ever gotten the actual figures from the office??

do you realize how many folks you just said were failing miserably?

i wonder if a fellow who is doing what he desires to do, and runs less miles, does 4k a week, on less than 2 k miles a week, but does exactly what he wants, meets his needs, and is perfectly happy , would he be deemed a failure with those criteria you set forth.

people have different methods, you just turned 40, you still got kids at home.
i got one kid as old as you are , the rest are all on there own.

its kind of hard to peg someone as failure if they dont meet your guidelines.

theres to many variables to make that statement.

Lots of people are perfectly happy lease purchasing from transam at 89 cpm. If you want to consider them a great success and mastermind at running freight feel free. But don't expect the rest of us to applaud them.

Also you missed a huge point. The point isn't off a guy is making 20k a month. The point is if he is working the whole month and not doing 20k them her is doing something wrong.

This whole 4k on a full week is the goal is what i took exception to. If i only averaged 4k on 7 days of work i would have a different name on the side of the truck. I like it here, but i haven't drank so much koolaide I'm willing to leave thousands of dollars a month on the table. I'm here because i make #### good money, when the day comes i can make more money elsewhere ill be removing the name off the side of the truck.
