road salt cleans your truck?

    It's got phosphates in it which are also the main cleaning compounds found in things like laundry detergent. It can eat away at paint and metal over time too that's what gives some trucks those cute little rim freckles.

    I hear ya man. Had to do the same thing after mine froze for days till I got back down south. What a pain in the ***. I was stopping and pouring bottles of water to help but one time, I guess because the defroster was off, the water froze immediately when it hit the shield. Talk about making a bad situation worse. What gets me is every other truck I saw didn't seem to be having this problem. Guess maybe Arnold and USA are getting some of the same cheap stuff, -20 my butt.

    i got mine at the pilot, but is was already half full when i got this truck. thinking MAYBE the dummy who had truck B4 put WATER in it:biggrin_2554:

    why wouldn't the rain wash the salt off the wheels?

    i dont know? maybe it was "road film" and not salt? only reason i can see.
