What do disc brakes have to do with tires?

smaller rim less room for breaks/airflow, im not sure how much of a effect that would cause. but smaller rim size would leave less room for breaks/air flow. disk has better cooling property's than drums. iv never had a semi trailer with 17.5's so not sure how much of a issue or non issue it is. but thats how 17.5's could have somthing to do with breaks.

I had disc brake trailer and they're worth money. Not having to adjust brakes and DOT never hassles you about brakes with disc brake setup

I couldn’t keep hydraulic brakes on my 17.5 trailer.
I replaced the axels with 17.5 air brake axels.
Couldn’t be happier with the set up now

Air discs. Never seen a cmv with hydro discs. Always air discs or air drums. Come to think about it 26.001 above is illegal to have hydro brakes.

Hydraulic brakes weather disc or drum are worthless in a commercial 17.5 set up.
They are just not up to the task if you pull any weight.
I went to a 17.5 set up with a drum air brake set up.
