Treat the patient based on their symptoms, not based on their lab results.

If you're not having any problems with the engine, carry on as usual, and deal with it if and when you see any problems.

It's possible that your sample was contaminated, or the lab cross-contaminated the equipment or your sample and botched the test. Or they gave you someone else's test results.

This sounds like the problem. I'd take another sample and make sure there is actually a problem and it's not just some kind of outside contamination

I have wondered about the results getting mixed up myself. I took the sample, so I know that part was done right. Had I been thinking I would have taken another sample, but my dumb ### went and changed the oil already.... I did cut open one of the filters tho, and I see absolutely nothing but oil in the filter media....

What type of oil are you running? While base oil can last a long time, the additive package does breakdown and the oil becomes diluted. I hate to say this, but I would of pulled pan and rolled in mains and done a set of rod bearings for peace of mind.

Its rotella t4. I bought a set of bearings, but after looking through the filter my engine builder said he wouldn't screw with it. Not saying he's right or wrong, just repeating what he said.

Guess I should of read upper right corner of your sample on oil type! My fleet has used oil analysis for over ten years changing oil @ standard intervals between 10,000 to 20,000 depending on engine make and application. I have noticed analysis sample will find problems before a filter inspection or cooling system pressure test will. I think if you want to extend intervals you may want to step up to T5 or T6. I have never seen one with that much lead in a sample and not have a wear issue.

I use the Amsoil bypass - it’s a 1 gallon filter, they recommend changing the filter at 60,000 I think - I do it at 30. I’ve got the same engine and mileage on a rebuild as you do.

The entire unit is about $350. Filters $40. No heating element, and adds 1 gallon, roughly 10% of sump capacity - more cooling I guess.

I sample at 10,000 miles and change oil at 40 or 50k - Schaefer’s 15-40 Semi synthetic 7000. The oil doesn’t matter - but the sample frequency should be 10,000 - I think you’re leaving it way too long.

There’s a problem here. I’d be inclined to sample again in 2 or 3,000 miles - or drop the pan and inspect.

That fuel dilution is bad. The lead and copper is a bad sign too. I’d be addressing both pretty quick.

I’m a fan of extending oil drains, but I monitor it pretty closely, and err to the side of old school maintenance and change if the samples are anything but clean.

Yeah, I was pretty skeptical about it, but I followed their recommendation on intervals and I was encouraged after the first analysis came back. That's why this one surprises me so much. It's like a completely different engine, and not in a good way. The fuel dilution doesn't surprise me a whole lot, this engine has always slobbered fuel when idling. I can leave it at a low idle, or I can bump it up to 1,000rpm but it just slobbers fuel.

I run Gulf coast filters GCF2 for the past 10 years. Sample every 10k, change GCF filters every 12k, change the Cat full flow filter every 30k, samples come back great every time. currently there is approximately 100k on the mobil delvac 1300.
At the 12k GCF filter change The truck is down almost a gallon and after the filters are changed it needs 2 gallons make-up oil to fill the filters and housing for a total of 3 gallons make-up every 12k. That keeps the additives replenished.

One of the best things I've done for the truck. I didn't do it to save money or extend oil drains I did it to be in the analysis program to have my $26,000 cat overhaul closely monitored.
