Naw. The Community College. A few of them have really helped me out, the others just lie.

I'd buy them a beer but providing alcohol to minors is kinda frowned on outside of Alabama.

All kidding aside, I have never been lied to more in my life than I have by two people at Knight Transportation. It is a downright shame that someone, anyone, feels like dishonesty is the way to do business. It is disrespectful and a slap in the face for, in my opinion, doing the most important and demanding job at Knight.

    BUT

the most perplexing thing...a terminal manager that seems intimidated and confused while discussing issues that cannot be resolved by a dispatcher.

That's why after two years I don't feel at home at Knight anymore. There is too much interaction between drivers and others who know nothing about the movement of freight. I really hate talking to anybody, just put it on the quallcomm and be done with it. There's a few people that I work well with within Knight but as a driver my input has nothing to do with "minor" details like that.

I'm soon to be gone and not bitter, just much the wiser as to why my fellow drivers are not the most pleasant people...STRESS ! LOL who needs it ?

Well alot has changed since my last post. I am still here.

The only person that could answer those questions for you brian is another Knight driver who lives in Vermont. What does Knight haul to and from Vermont ? I have never been too Vermont with Knight. Wal Mart in Rumford NH is the closest I have been, dropped many a load there and never an empty trailer in sight. More than likely you would deliver in Boston or Maine and go home from there.

You would have to call Knight and ask if you could run out of Carlisle. Carlisle has 300?? drivers. Some are happy some are not. Theres too many variables involved to predict your exact situation. Good luck with everything and hopefully someone else can take a stab (guess) on how you'll fare at Knight.

I was out of Syracuse when I lived in Ontario NY and I would highly recommend them. They got me home every Fri/Sat and still were able to get me the miles I wanted. I think Jose is the head dispatcher there, but I dealt with Dan mostly. Good people. I transferred to Las Vegas and never got the same home time or miles. I've heard a lot of bad things about Carlisle, but had been to that terminal a lot. Wish you the best. Ron

When I worked for night back in 2005...I loved them...I was only there for about 3 months...but i got plenty of miles...and at that time they had a 7 0n 7 off scheduale....I loved them back then...

But a lot in trucking has changed since then...so I don't know how they are now...
