Should I go o/o?

I think you at least should know how to perform an oil change, grease and filter change, and be able to identify every part on the truck and be able to recognize faults with those parts.

 

That a lot of faults to recognize on a caribou saving emission motor these days. Nox sensor this, low voltage on def pump that. 3000 fault codes to decipher. Plus a lot of zip ties to hold it together.

 

Yes - that’s true, but the newer trucks never have big chrome stacks to check . . .

 

Mechanical ability is over rated, just buy a new truck with warranty and hammer down!!!

 

Find a good repair shop you can trust. Then hammer down.
