Hello gents, stank foot here. Ive been reading the past few days here and there and have to say i havent learned much lol. Lots of back and forth bickering or old information that idk if its still relevant so thought id post my own thread.
Im currently talking with cr england about them sending me to school. They sounded interested but becuase i have court aug 30th the recuiter said he'll call back the 31st for me to speak with a supervisor.
The reason i chose them is because i just recieved my license and was told they dont care how long ive had it. Unlike most companies that say wait 6 months to a year.
My question is, is there any other companies that will send me to school even though ive had my license for less than 6 months? Im 25 with no medical problems and a clean driving record. Well i had 1 ticket for drving without a license from 7 or 8 years ago but thats it. I dont even know if that counts anymore since its been so long.
From what ive read, cr england is horrible and a lot of drivers applaud other drivers when they leave or get fired from cr so thats why im seeking another company if possible.
I just dont want to wait 6 months to a year before applying somewhere else. Im a impatient person and im jobless at the moment so im looking for a quick fix thatll get me in the door then later when i have experience and school is paid and contract is up ill see what the trucking world has to offer.
I like the process of grinding my way to the top, ive always been one of the hardest working people at every job ive had, i have a "go go go you better not stop till its done" mindset. The way i see it, theres nothing wrong with a hard days work and If im not sweaty and dirty, im not working. So even if i have to start with a crappie company and grind my way up to the big league, ill do it.
Thanks in advance. Stank foot.

Welcome sir!
The first 2 paragraphs pretty much summed it up for me, but the entire post nailed it firmly home.
Good luck in your endeavors!

I'm not sure which mega's will accept you and put you through school regarding the scenario of only having your class c for the small amount of time you mentioned. Best bet is to just pick up the phone and start calling and inquiring. I'm willing to bet England isn't the only company that will take you under those circumstances. You mentioned you have "court" on the 30th. Not sure what that is for, and it's not my business, but depending on the cause for that, it could also throw a wrench in your plans. Regarding England as a company, you are correct in your observations. They are not the best of companies, but there's a lot of bad out there. In light of your situation, you might just have to call around and pick the least of the evils and put your time in. Good luck.
By the way, anything company related @Chinatown can help you. He's the resident guru in that area. -
Prime inc will put you thru school they get a bad rap but you can make great money and school is free if you stay for a year I've been there 7+ years and I'm very happy my take home pay this week is 5000.00 before taxes
Puppage Thanks this. -
You want to make mistakes at a mediocre carrier where it doesn't matter so much or your dream carrier? Pay your dues then if you don't screw up you can move on.

How ya doing man? I can't say one way or another about England. Never worked there. I'd say take care of court and then go to them if they'll take you. You have to take one step at a time. The first step is getting you in the door.
