Thanks for the well wishes. I haven't found another driving job as of yet, but I am collecting unemployment. I hope to be able to go back out over the road, but if not oh well. Just remember to play it dafe on the road, and you should be fine.

I'm not trying to be rude, so please don't take it that way, but I honestly don't see what I could've done differently. I performed a complete pre-trip before taking off that morning. With my flashlight, I checked the lugs for rust streaks that indicate looseness, as I was instructed. I checked to make sure that all of the tires were inflated using the tire thumper. The only reason I hadn't checked the pressure with my gauge was because the trailer had one of those auto-inflate deals attached. I logged the pre-trip before I started, just like I was supposed to. I understand that when something goes wrong in a big truck, it is almost always the driver's fault, that is why I try not to give them much to hold against me.

I wholeheartedly agree. Sometimes things just happen. The most you can do is the pre-trips and to do the best job you can do, and hope that nothing really bad happens to you.

Joe are you looking for a job? I know an O/O from Chicago that might be looking for a driver.
-
Thanks for the tip. Can you send me a private message, and I'll definitely look into it. Talk to you later.

I just got a shock. Driver Solutions just sent me a Certificate of Completion and a check for $170. I didn't think I'd get either one.
