Must be thinking of someone else. I just bought them and never enquired on here about what to buy.

The video on them is exceptional. However, at about the ten month mark, two of them will not turn on or do anything anymore. Probably battery related I’m guessing.

They also suffer the same fate of every dashcam that sits on a hot dashboard—the sun overheats them and causes them to get errors or shut off. For this reason, I mounted my remaining camera well inside the cab on a stalk and have an AC vent blowing directly on it.

I have the KD Link X1 and it has WiFi. Diesel boss listed the only reasons *I* could see myself using it. I like the KD fine. I occasionally have to reset the date and time for some reason, but overall it works pretty good.

The owner of the company I work for (small 25 truck fleet) just bought a few Falcon cams for us to try out.

He offered me one, but I already have the KD Link so I declined.

One of my co-workers uses the Rand McNally (the blue one), but I don’t think he likes it much.

I started using a dash am because I had another driver intentionally ram me caught up in roadrage and the police let him drive away. That's aggregated assault. He pulled up next to me, looked right at me then steered into my lane. By his surprised look he didn't intend to hit me, just run me off the road. I was on a bridge and have a general philosophy of be sure to hit the mofo causing the accident.

I take responsibility for my actions but a lot of people out there don't. If I cause an accident the dashcam doesn't because I'll take responsibility. If the other person lies then, hopefully the dashcam shows that to be the case. It could show I'm at fault when I don't feel I am but it can also show I'm not when I believe I am.
