Congratulations on the change in lifestyle. You are leaving a good company, i have never worked for Superior but I use their brokerage side and they let me wash out at their terminals. The terminals I have used are all hard surface, gated, clean, the people are helpful. I have been around a lot of companies, this looks to be a good one.

@ethos I'm in Austin, TX, I received an offer from Schneider Bulk starting on he 6th in Houston. Before I applied at Schneider, I applied and spoke with a recruiter from Superior for the same position. He told me it wouldn't be feasible for me to work at Superior cause of the distance to that terminal. Is there a reason Schneider was willing, but not Superior?
-
Yes, there's a reason. Schneider is a bottom feeding, scumbag outfit that'll hire anyone with a pulse because their turnover rate would rival the local McDonald's.
Superior is not in that category.
Do yourself a favor and RUN from the pumpkin patch! RUN RUN RUN!meechyaboy Thanks this. -
Schneider could have a yard or a tank wash out there that you could park at. Or, it could be a matter of scheduling. With Superior, you are usually out and back. Schneider may want you to run a bit longer. The longer the run the less the drive in matters. My bet is they have some type of parking arrangement out that way.
Schneider is not a bottom feeding whatever that other guy said. They are a good company and I enjoyed my time there. It's true that Superior is better, but it may not be better for you. Schneider is a fine place to work, don't worry. I started there, no regrets.meechyaboy and Black1984 Thank this. -
If you are willing to stay out a month or more at a time superior will look at you. We just had a driver leave superior who lives in Killeen tx which is further than Austin, and he was with them almost 4 yrs. he would stay out about a month, then go home for a week
Black1984 Thanks this. -
@ethos Trust, thats why I specifically tagged you, because you been at both companies. I chose Schneider based on yours and other guys' cosign regarding gaining training and experience. They said they'll have me running the southeastern region mostly. Thanks for the response. Hopefully, I can reach out to you if I have questions/recommendations. I've been researching in several recent threads here.
@Lilj Ok, I know Killeen is like an hour from Austin. So he ran at least a month straight and takes a week off? Hmm I can't say for certain I could do that. I'll know for sure how this goes with Schneider, just keeping a positive attitude. Thanks for your response as well.ethos Thanks this. -
I had a job offer from Superior, but my school certificate was stolen along with my bag out the truck when I was working beverage. Now I can't get the job because I also don't have a year of trucking yet... Do anyone know how to get another? Btw, the school closed so I can't call the school for another. The school was America's Driving Force in Conley, GA.

Were they a franchise? Perhaps corporate would have one.
