Do you think $500. or $700.00 is a living wage? You can make that working at Home Depot. Hey dumb #####, $700. 800. 900. a week is NOT a lot of money for driving a semi-truck.

Geez,no wonder those knuckleheads are always running like super truckers(and sometimes wrecking during the process)!!WTF!! Fast truck or not,if I was getting that low of a pay rate I’d tell them “**** you and good night”,and turn in the keys to the truck!

I’ve seen some rough equipment but mostly due to drivers raking the trucks across solid objects. I’m assuming you had a Freightliner and sadly that water issue is common. As far as crap paychecks, I’ve seen a few. Overall my average is about $775/wk. I think the dedicated fleets pay better but for some reason Werner loves the dollar store accounts so those are everywhere which is a bummer. Walmart dedicated accounts, Home Depot, Perdue, Tracker Marine, etc are the good ones. Sorry you didn’t have a good experience.

I personally have not enjoyed my time much here but it certainly isn’t the worst. It allows me some freedom to move accounts/states which I plan on doing. I don’t get bothered much and they have approved everything that I’ve asked to have repaired.

I’m not sure where you live but try looking for a hourly line haul or even city bus driving jobs. Those will be a bit steadier and you’ll get more time with your family. Good luck to you and safe driving.

In 2010 I worked for Werner for a year. Not a bad company then, I dont know about now. When I worked for werner pay was .26 cpm and I made decent money then. Training was $350 a week then.

How about a hundred or so different person's experience? Is that a fair marker?

Obviously he didn’t read the thread about the trainee who had to deal with the trainer with the most pungent body odor! Possibly the best thread ever posted about Werner ever and the best thread posted on the Truckers Report!
