Anyone use the Driver Pulse app?

If I remember right it's connected to intelli-app. Right? I'm a student driver just graduated and got my CDL A. It was great for keeping track of the process. Not one company contacted me through it. But like I said in a student driver lol. I did like it for numerous things though.

 

Best place for a trucker to post an ad is on craigslist where all the small time company posts. Just do a job ad but name it like trucker seeking a real driving job.

 

It's poorly programmed; can't accept zip code as city - state when you are searching, and throws up a huge list of companies you've never heard of, no idea of location, and asks you to rate the company

 

If you apply at a company, it gives you the option to get a copy of your dac & mvr. I thought that was cool.

 

I've been OTR for 8 years. My first year, I applied with several different companies. I still get emails and automated calls, usually around the beginning of each quarter, from JB, Knight, and CR. Unsubscribe works for a half year, before it starts back up.
I'd be willing to bet that anyone putting their info into this app will experience the same thing, but on a larger scale.

 

You can block unwanted companies also forever....

 

LOL I'm good..I don't want my 'Application' going to who knows how many companies..
I'm at the point where I can be a little picky on where I want to even apply.

 

You control who your data goes to, when using Driver Pulse. You can also use it to quickly send recruiters a message. They tend to answer messages more quickly than phone calls, since they are probably on the phone with someone else when your message comes in.

 

The reality is that you have less control than you might think. This is connected to the Tenstreet product line, so if you hire with a company via DP and then apply elsewhere, they will notify your current employer that you applied elsewhere as part of their retention service.

So you may walk in to hand over the keys and they know it's coming and have your replacement ready, or you may get proactively fired and then rejected by the next company. You don't get to choose that disclosure, you're not even told that it could happen.
