If you dont mind physical labor US foods sometimes hire drivers with less than 6 months experience. Position is called driver trainee, then you have Mclane and Core mark.

For LTL city criver or Linehaul(road driver)
-fedex freight - they want 1 year experience, but you can apply for driver apprentice
    -estes
    -abf
    -new penn
    -old dominion
    -XPO
-UPS but they usually want 1 year experience

UPS has a "Dockworker with CDL" position. That one isn't likely to require experience and would be a good way to get your foot in the door.

    It is.

Especially when several layers have responded in writing over qualcomm and phone calls that you ARE GOING HOME THAT DAY.

Later in my years I do not do any communicating at all on home day. Qualcomm sits under the bunk. Trailer dropped in yard, gone home bobtail however far or short it is. (Usually short)

I complete my home time and then find a stack of call mes days or weeks old. Im over it. Time to go.

    1. A recruiters job is to get you in the door . they'll tell you whet you wanna hear to do that...as far as wkends home with most outfits it's 34 hr restart and hit the road..it's all about the freight and mileage to your average dispatcher and they'll tell you their not running a travel agency but a trucking company... something all new drivers need to remember is after your DM ask you a favor over the phone have em put it on the Qualcomm so you have a record .. 99% of the starter company's out there are CYOA first...

Heck I work for myself and can't get any good home time. I keep threating to quit or fire myself. Like an idiot I keep going. I have no idea why anyone would ever drive a truck.

Try Maverick transportation or Mcelroy. Both are flatbed companies and you are in a good place for either to get you home weekends. Both will be honest with you about hometime. Best wishes!
