My old insurance policy had windshield replacement. I think that it added $7/month to the premium. I dropped it and decided to just pay out of pocket if I had to replace another windshield. My insurance agent told me that my insurance would likely go up to cover any windshield claim. When I had my comprehensive with OOIDA, there was NO deductible for windshields. I think that they dropped that from their policies.
how much does a windshield cost?

The freightliner windshield from the old 83 cabover, on each side inside the rubber framing was about 200 each for a double pane. (Sort of a two section glass sheet or layers)
I have never had a modern windshield of a big truck replaced.77fib77 Thanks this. -
