81 is a nice road. I know it well. If they are rolling on that little bitty bit relative to what's out there with some really SCARY roads then these are not drivers I want.

I'll give props to the bears for sitting in the right places. It's awful hard to rein in a rampaging 18 wheeler off a hill.

Then again I should not talk. I had once upon a time ran really hard with anything other than motorcycles and horses. (Neither of which I was very good at. I can ride em, but it's not smart of me to do so)

I have had to sort things out for myself often growing up.

You are correct in saying there are certain people who are not well where it matters mentally. All I can say without getting into trouble are two things. First Im glad I don't share their outlook and second I feel really badly for these who struggle under such misconceptions in life every day.

Just keep the crap spewing deeper. I'll have to run over to the farm and get my pig stall boots out.

Just for anyone that cares C++ was released in 1985. A good decade after the Vietnam War. See unlike others I can program. I'm not great, but I can usually beat the code into submission.

Learned perl mostly for linux admin scripts back when I ran a local ISP. I can do a bit of C++, C#, and web languages like php and (old) asp.

Please, what new "revelations" do you have now?

Maybe he was thinking of DOS or Visual Basic? Oh wait, they were both after the Vietnam too I believe.

The whole speeding enforcement varies by state. His is how it works in GA. Local and county allow you up to 9 mph over the posted speed limit unless you're in a school or construction zone. State Troopers do not have to allow the 9mph policy...but they almost always follow the policy as well. This is in the GA code law before anybody wants to debate this.

90% of all my driving is up and down a 4-lane state route with a posted speed limit of 55. I set my cruise control on 65 every day on this route. There's 3 city limit areas I pass through and all 3 usually have a patrol car running radar on the shoulder or median. They've never even so much as raised an eyebrow....and I don't slow down at all.

On the same stretch of hwy, I regularly pass by FMCCO's and state troopers running speed detection instruments. Never had one pull me over for speeding. I HAVE been pulled over several times on this road for a roadside inspection....but speeding never has been mentioned.

The statement about lowering speed limits to 45 is just plain ludicrous and ignorant. They've already put a bit of a dent in guaranteed delivery times when they started ELD's. Lowering the speed limit will send shipping costs into orbit. Why? Because time is money. Truckers would either quit the industry or implement a massive strike. You'd have to do away with load pay and start paying by the hour. THAT would get expensive and drive up freight rates way past any fuel cost hike. Park every truck in America for a week and see who's attention you get.

Diantane may not be on drugs, but he's definitely dabbled in the Koolaid.

Driving 24 saves more fuel then 44. I wonder if I drove in reverse would that suck in climate change air and turn it i it fuel? I’m a genius.

Folks, if you want to argue about who is right and who is wacked about global warming, then head over to the political forum before a mod moves this thread there for us. Personally I find people who parrot the left's talking points on the matter completely incapable of critical thought, and I am happy to debate them until the cows come home, but let's do it in the proper place.

Mind actually posting the code? You know since it's actual code, it has to be written down. I did look for a few minutes and could find nothing.

Well somebody bit the revenue line, hook, sinker, and all didn't they? I have never heard of the EPA giving tickets for speeding in any state, could be possible though i suppose. Nearly 20 over is stupid and you deserve everything you get if you're caught.
