So, I am now on day 3 of training with DOT. Impressed with how friendly everyone is there. Classroom training this week as well as a few days next week and then I will be out with a driver trainer for 4 weeks or so. Looking forward to learning as much as I can.

That’s awesome man! Congrats. There’s a lot to learn and it will be stressful at times. Put everything you have into it and it will get easier, I promise. I think what makes Dot such a good place is it’s culture, as you’ve seen. Take care and let me know if you have any questions.

When you read "old" threads on this site, you have to keep in mind that you might be asking questions from someone who hasn't been online here in a long time. Such as this time, that particular member hasn't been here since April and the quote you asked them about is over a year old already. Things change and people move on just like in all areas of society. 3 straight years at one Trucking company is a fairly long time. So that's a good endorsement, especially if they would consider going back to work there. Just look at the times on the posts you read and you can click on a member and see how long they have been gone to have an idea of whether you can expect a timely answer back. That applies to everything you might read here. Enjoy the site and best wishes.4mer trucker and Slick Tiff Thank this.
