Be Safe Out There
Captain Davex1Heavy and Slick Tiff Thank this. -
Most people who maintain clean lives take on any drug test without any concern of type or fear of failing. You follow me?
If you have no drugs in life you do not have anything to worry about.Slick Tiff Thanks this. -
Dot truly is an awesome company. I’ve been there over a year now running the 4x4 schedule and it’s the perfect balance. It’s not all rainbows throwing cases but you’re well compensated and it’s not all the time.
Slick Tiff Thanks this. -
Sorry I didn't see that question. Orientation is paid. While training, 100% of your meals and drinks will be paid for by your trainer when in the truck, he gets reimbursed. It’s awesome. If I remember correctly the new training pay is $750 a week for a brand new driver and $1250 for an experienced driver. For a new driver, the training helps huge! It’ll become repetitive and a little much by the end, but you will feel pretty confident when released. I haven’t worked anywhere else but I almost guarantee Dot has some of the best trainers in the business. Dot doesn’t use trainers and trainees as a team, they are purely training you. Any new job is very stressful in the beginning but don’t stress yourself out. It takes about 6 months to a year to get comfortable. Give it time, it’s worth it. I feel blessed where I’m at..

Thank you for the info. I have an interview in Dyersburg on Monday. I am excited!!!UhOhh Thanks this. -
I understand you have 2 weeks classroom then 6 to 8 weeks out with a trainer. Do you get any home time in there anywhere? How exactly does it work.
-
You’ll get home 2-3 times during the week and on the weekends. You deliver to customers, pickup from suppliers and then head back to the DC.

Do you get to go home during training at Dot? How often?
